MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A death investigation has shut down I-794 east near Van Buren Street Monday night, May 18. 

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, dispatch began receiving reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle around 7:44 p.m. 

Officials say witnesses reported seeing a motorcyclist strike a wall in the south interchange; they reported seeing the motorcycle fall, and the driver go over the wall, landing in a parking lot below. 

The sheriff's office says the driver died of his injuries. 

A full freeway closure remains underway at N. Van Buren/E. St. Paul Avenue.
