MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Democratic Congresswoman Gwen Moore recently visited an Indiana ICE facility to see Salah Sarsour, the president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee.
Sarsour is being held there after federal agents detained him last month.
"I was able to provide Mr. Sarsour a copy of the United States Constitution. We discussed briefly that citizen, non-citizen, green card holder, everybody was entitled to rights under our constitution," said Moore.
The Department of Homeland Security says it suspects Sarsour has previously suspect funding terror groups and falsified his immigration papers.
Moore says she is helping Sarsour with his case.
