Badgers Fans well traveled and gracious until the end

ARLINGTON-The number of Badgers fans in North Texas steadily built over the course of the week to a peak with a huge pep rally just hours before the men's basketball team faces Kentucky in the Final Four.

Among those taking part in the gathering was NBA star and former UW basketball player Michael Finely who told CBS 58's Michele McCormack that he never made it to the Final Four so he was trying to take it all in this time around.

In fact the spirit and the pride all on display as graduates of years past joined arms with current students to belt out \"Varsity!\"

The sea of red then marched to the stadium where they saw their squad under the direction of Coach Bo Ryan battle to the end and come up just short.

As they left for home the disappointment was clear, but they know many teams would have loved to have had the opportunity they did.

Gracious and optimistic about the next year considering the team is expected, for the most part to stay intact.

One fan said it was too soon to talk legacy for this squad they have a lot more basketball to play.
