MUSKEGO, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Franksville man was seriously injured Thursday, in a crash involving a garbage truck and semi in Muskego. 

It happened just before 3 p.m. near County Highway OO near Boxhorn Drive. 

Police say the garbage truck, driven by the 23-year-old Franksville man, and semi, driven by a 60-year-old West Allis man, were both traveling southbound on County Highway OO at the time of the incident. 

Bystanders began providing care to the injured driver, who was later flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital. 

Officials say the semi driver was not injured and is cooperating with authorities. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
