18-year-old accused of threatening to 'shoot up' Waukesha County Courthouse for second time in months
Wauikesha County Sheriff\'s Department WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An 18-year-old is back in jail after allegedly threatening to open fire at the Waukesha County Courthouse for the second time in about four months.
Camron Gatson-Staples is charged with terrorist threats and four counts bail jumping.
Officials say the first time he made threats against the courthouse was on Dec. 26, 2025, sparking a lockdown.
Court documents allege Gatson-Staples again called the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office Monday, April 27, saying he was going to "shoot up the courthouse" and kill deputies.
Upon further questioning, the criminal complaint says, Gatson-Staples identified himself and said he was at his home in Milwaukee.
He reportedly told detectives he made the phone call because he had been "bored for several months" and wanted to go back to jail.
Prosecutors say the calls were made from his group home, where he was later arrested.
Records show Gatson-Staples is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. The court has ordered a competency exam.
