Wisconsin man arrested in connection with missing 14-year-old Missouri girl

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Wisconsin man has been arrested in connection to the disappearance of a 14-year-old Missouri girl. 

Oconomowoc police say on Monday, Nov. 2, a 14-year-old girl missing from Joplin, Missouri, was brought to the police department and told officers she'd been missing since Sept. 17. 

Police contacted the Joplin Police Department in Missouri and confirmed the girl's identity. 

An investigation was started and authorities arrested a 19-year-old Oconomowoc man. Police say the investigation revealed the man drove to Missouri on or around Sept. 17, picked up the girl and drove her back to Wisconsin. Investigators say the girl had been staying with him ever since. 

The 14-year-old girl was reunited with her family on Nov. 3.
