Watertown men involved in fatal truck crash in Town of Lebanon
A pick up truck carrying a 21 year-old and 19 year-old from Watertown flipped and ejected both occupants at 7:11 PM on Morningside Rd east of CTH R in the Township of Lebanon.
Preliminary investigation shows that Robert L. Buske was operating a Ford pickup truck traveling East on Morningside Road when the truck entered the south ditch and struck a culvert. The truck vaulted and overturned, ejecting both occupants. Buskewas pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. The passenger of the pickup truck, Matthew Pankow, sustained life threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life Helicopter to Aurora Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc.
Alcohol, speed and failure to wear seatbelts appear to be factors in the crash.
