MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee Police Department officers were injured, along with two other people after a crash near 35th and Center. 

The crash happened Tuesday, Sept. 29 around 4:45 a.m. 

According to police, a 62-year-old driving west on Center Street while a 69-year-old driving a bus was traveling south on 35th. A Milwaukee police squad was parked in the eastbound lane on Center Street with emergency lights activated. 

The lights at the intersection, according to police, were not functioning due to being vandalized. 

Officials say the 62-year-old driver struck the bus which caused the bus to collide with the police squad and then go into a ditch. 

The driver of the squad, a 29-year-old Milwaukee officer, and passenger, a 29-year-old officer, were both taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. 

The 62-year-old driver sustained a minor injury and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The bus driver was not injured.
