U.S. Marshals say the man who killed his 3 daughters in June is dead

CHELAN COUNTY, WA (CBS 58) -- The United States Marshals Service says that Travis Decker, the Pewaukee man accused of killing his three daughters back in June, is dead.
The murders took place in a remote region of Washington State and investigators say Decker went on the run after he allegedly killed the girls.
Search efforts have continued for months and just last week human remains, in addition to clothing they believed belonged to Decker, was found near the site of the murders.
It is unclear at this time if the U.S. Marshals Service is using these findings as conclusive proof of his death, the DNA results are still pending for the remains, but a federal prosecutor has asked a judge to drop the arrest warrant as Decker is now presumed dead.
