Update to water situation at U.S. Open

NOW: Update to water situation at U.S. Open
NEXT:

Thursday night health officials revealed that E. Coli was found at one of the hydration stations near hole 12. Out of an abundance of caution USGA officials have decided to provide water in bottled form at all hydration stations through the rest of competition play.

Fans can continue to bring in clear, transparent empty water bottles that can be filled at the hydration stations. Individual water bottles will not be provided. Bottled water will come in the form of jug water from water machines.

Fans are still not allowed to bring in full water bottles, they need to be empty and transparent.

430 jugs of water have been ordered to provide an adequate supply for Friday's round of golf and more jugs will be ordered for the rest of the weekend.
