Union Grove man arrested for 6th OWI

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 55-year-old Union Grove man is now facing his 6th OWI charge.

A Racine County Sheriff's Deputy conducted a traffic stop in a residential area of Union Grove for a vehicle that was driving during dark with no headlights on.

It happened around 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The driver was identified as Bruce Berger.

Inside the vehicle, the deputy located a 1.75-liter bottle of vodka and a 30-pack of beer.

Berger provided an on-scene PBT sample with a result of .247.

Berger’s PBT sample was approximately 12 times his allowed legal alcohol concentration.

Berger is currently being held at the Racine County Jail for Operating While Intoxicated 6th Offense with a total bond of $5,000.
