WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people are dead following a single-vehicle crash on I-41.
It happened around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday on I-41 NB between Hwy 60 and Hwy 144 in the Town of Polk.
Flight for Life was called but one occupant was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to the Sheriff's Office, a Ford Mustang entered the median prior to crossing both lanes of traffic and crashing into the guardrail on the east side of I-41. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
The Sheriff's Office says neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
Names are not being released at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing.
