A nice soaking rain has been falling since 2 a.m. Monday morning. Steady rain is coming to an end across our central and western counties and will end in lakeside communities within the next hour or two. Rain totals so far range from 0.10-0.30".

After the soaking rain in the morning we will still have a chance for lingering showers the rest of Monday and Monday night. Tuesday and Wednesday could also feature a few light showers but it might stay dry for some of you.

Rain totals by the time the rain is done Wednesday will range from 0.25-0.75" with isolated totals getting a full inch.

It's been a quiet end to the weekend with only a couple showers passing through earlier today. There is a larger area of rain to the west which will begin moving in tonight.

Make sure you dig out your rain gear before heading to work on Monday because widespread rain is expected during the morning commute.

The widespread showers will become more scattered by lunchtime and remain scattered throughout the rest of the afternoon.

We may have a break in the shower activity Monday night, but if we get any clearing of the clouds we'd have to deal with dense fog early Tuesday morning. The backside of this system swings through later Tuesday into Tuesday night, which could spark a few additional light showers.

A nice quarter to isolated half inch of rain is expected across southeast Wisconsin through Tuesday night. Highest totals will likely be found in the far SE corner of the state with the lower totals far northwest.

The showers and clouds will hold temps in the 60s through the first half of the week, but we'll return to normal in the low to mid 70s by the end of the week and next weekend.
