Low pressure has developed off to our west this morning, bringing in multiple rounds of storms expected for this Friday. A warm front is lifting with this system, bringing in a southwest wind and allowing our temps to warm back to the upper 70s today. This will also help usher in more humidity, which will be what fuels the stronger storms tonight.
Our first round of storms is this morning until about noon and is unlikely to be severe. Then, a break is expected in these storms, and any sunshine that we get here will help strengthen the second round happening by 6pm. This second round aims to stay here until after midnight, and then we turn quiet and dry to start off your Saturday.
The primary threats with today's severe weather are damaging winds and small to medium sized hail. While a tornado risk is unlikely, we cannot rule it out. Up to an inch of rain is expected for most.
An isolated shower or storm becomes possible again late Saturday afternoon which wraps up by bedtime. This is unlikely to become severe, and plenty of sunshine and a drop in humidity returns on Sunday.
