Brookfield police search for suspect after North Shore Bank robbery
Brookfield Police Department BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) — Authorities in Brookfield are searching for a man accused of robbing a bank Thursday afternoon before fleeing in a vehicle without license plates.
The Brookfield Police Department responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. to a reported robbery at North Shore Bank, located at 15830 W. Capitol Drive.
Investigators are working to identify and locate the suspect, who is described as a Black man wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, jean jacket, black mask, black gloves and jeans.
Police said a vehicle believed to be connected to the suspect was last seen traveling east on Capitol Drive.
The vehicle is described as a black four-door sedan with no license plates.
No employees, customers or other people were injured during the robbery.
"We are asking anyone who was in the area of North Shore Bank around 2:30 p.m. and saw suspicious activity to contact the Brookfield Police Department," police said in a statement. "Investigators are especially interested in speaking with anyone who may have photographs, surveillance video, dash-camera video, or other information showing the suspect or the black sedan before or after the robbery."
The incident remains under investigation. Brookfield police said additional information will be released when it can be confirmed and shared without compromising the investigation.
