Milwaukee (CBS 58)--You can be a worldly traveler this weekend and not even need a passport to do so. The 74th annual “Holiday Folk Fair International” highlights different cultures around the world as we gear up for the most festive time of the year. The event, once again taking place at the State Fair Expo Center, showcases various ethnic foods, arts, crafts, dances, and music. One new highlight of the Folk Fair includes a new Muslim exhibit focusing on gratitude, sharing, charity, and goodwill. It’s supposed to capture the true spirit of Ramadan. There’s also face painting this year. This is a Burmese tradition among women and children in this sovereign state of southeast Asia.
One of the big events of Folk Fair will take place at 2:30 Friday afternoon as 200 individuals will accept the rights and responsibilities of American citizenship. For all the details about Folk Fair, just click here.
