The suspect in this case is accused of cutting off his GPS monitoring bracelet and then leading deputies on a chase April 1st.

Matthew Hardin has now six charges against him including two counts of attempted intentional homicide.

We learned he shot his girlfriend and another man at his mom’s house.

The witness said Hardin suspected they were having an affair and shot both of them multiple times.

A couple of days later officer caught up with him on the road and he led them on a chase after they say he cut off his monitoring bracelet.

The Sheriff’s office sent us the video.

Sheriff Clarke commented on the fact that Hardin had a long record and the GPS monitoring bracelet wasn’t enough.

Clarke said the judicial system needs to be tougher on career criminals.

Tracey Dent said he is organizing a rally for peace tonight. He said there is more to solving this issue than tougher punishment.

In court Hardin pled not guilty to all charges and asked for a speedy trial.

His lawyer tried to get the attempted homicide charge dropped but was denied.
