Summer stays for a little while longer; fall feel not that far away

Milwaukee (CBS 58)--It's just about time for our summer swan song.  Big changes coming our way.  We'll go from around 80 today to the 40s on Friday!  Obviously, a strong cold front will be moving through soon.  Actually it'll be late in the day on Wednesday into the evening. In the meantime, look for plenty heat and humidity today.  With the humidity, the "real feel" temp will approach 85.  The actual high will be around 80.  This is close the record.

We run the risk of showers and storms, especially with daytime heating into the evening. I think there will be even a better chance tomorrow as the front approaches.  There could be several waves of rain and storms.  At least an inch of rain is possible depending where you are and where the storms set up shop.

Again, behind the front, some of the coldest air of the season.  Look for highs in the 40s and 50s into the weekend.  Frost is a factor mainly Thursday and Friday nights as lows drop into the 30s.

Stay tuned to CBS58 for the latest weather updates.  Online as well, right here.
