MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After Milwaukee was hit with one of the biggest snowstorms we've seen in years, many in the area took to local parks for some winter fun.
Washington Park saw cross-country skiers and plenty of children out building snowmen, while Lafayette Hill by the lakefront was filled with groups of sledders making snow angels.

Courtney Banks-McLaughlin told CBS 58's Ellie Nakamoto-White she was visiting from North Carolina and had never gone sledding before.
"The hard part was going up. Coming down, piece of cake!" Banks-McLaughlin said.
Eleven-year-old snow expert John Davis said the heavy, wet snow is the best kind for creating sculptures and snowballs.
"The harder it is to balance on the sled, the faster you'll go," Davis added as his biggest sledding tip.
The area should expect more snow to fall on Sunday. Stay updated with CBS 58's Ready Weather team on cbs58.com.
