Ski area employee rescued after becoming trapped under conveyor belt in Washington County

KEWASKUM, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A ski area employee is okay after deputies say he became trapped underneath a conveyor belt. 

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, they were called to the Sunburst Ski Area on Prospect Drive in Kewaskum around 9:00 p.m. Thursday. 

Investigators say the employee was performing maintenance underneath the conveyor belt when his arm was trapped. 

The Kewaskum Fire Department was able to free the employee who was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

The incident is still under investigation.
