Screamin' Acres kicks off 2023 season of scares with revamped attractions 😱
SLOUGHTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Screamin' Acres, one of Wisconsin's renowned haunted house experience, is preparing for its 2023 season with significant updates, including a redesigned 3D "Side Effects: RECHARGED" attraction.
For those who dare to enter, the venue also debuts 3,000 new square feet of outdoor horror.
Founded in 2011 by then 14-year-old Jacob Eugster, the haunt has a history rooted in nightmare creation. Over the years, it has expanded to offer four spine-tingling attractions covering more than 30,000 square feet. Eugster started the venture as a way to raise money for college but has since turned it into an annual horror showcase.
The opening night is set for Saturday, Sept. 30, and additional dates extend throughout October and into early November.
Last year, the attraction cinched the title of Favorite Southwest Haunted Attraction by Haunted Wisconsin Visitors Choice, setting a ghoulish standard for the upcoming season.
For anyone looking to join the hair-raising spectacle, Screamin' Acres is located at 3865 WI-138 in Stoughton. The venue operates on select dates: Sept. 30, Oct. 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 and Nov. 3.
