OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Random drug testing for students may be coming to Oak Creek High School.
The proposal would affect students who participate in athletics or who have parking permits.
The district's proposal says participating in those activities is a privilege and students involved have a heightened responsibility to be drug and alcohol free.
The school district plans to have two public hearings on the drug testing proposal. The first is Thursday night followed by another hearing next Tuesday. Each hearing starts at 6:00 p.m.
The meetings will be held in the cafeteria in the 9th grade center at Oak Creek High School located at 8640 S Howell Avenue in Oak Creek.
People who want to talk at the hearing need to fill out a Public Comment Form when they arrive at the hearing. Speakers will be called on in the order received. Each person who wants to speak gets three minutes to talk.
