Racine PD Searching for Suspect after Attempted Robbery at Gas Station

On Tuesday, March 22, at 11:59 PM, Racine Police Officers responded to Marathon Gas Station at 3024 Rapids Drive for an attempted robbery according to a release from the Racine Police Department.

Upon Officer's arrival, they spoke with the clerk on duty who stated a single suspect entered the store, grabbed an item for purchase and approached the counter. The suspect stood at the counter and demanded money.

The suspect did not produce a weapon but implied he had one. The clerk refused to give him any money and the suspect fled the store.
