Racine County Board Approves Funding for Emergency Shelter

An emergency shelter in Racine is now getting the money it needs.

The county board voted unanimously to give $40,000 so it can open during the winter.

The money will pay for rent for Segue, Inc., a group working toward solutions to homelessness.

The shelter will be open from 7 PM to 7 AM from November 1 through March 31.

The site is the former Lincoln Lutheran building on Dominik Drive.
