Persistent rain chances this week but looks dry for Brewers NLCS Game 1

NOW: Persistent rain chances this week but looks dry for Brewers NLCS Game 1

We stayed nice and dry over the weekend but rain chances started to move in after midnight Sunday night with some light showers persisting through the morning hours. We can't rule out a few pop up showers during the early afternoon hours of Monday as well.

Rain chances look to dry out nicely by the evening so you shouldn't have to worry about any rain going into or out of the Brewers game against the Dodgers for NLCS Game 1. A few isolated showers could be out there for tailgating before the game but even that looks mostly dry. Temperatures for first pitch look to be in the mid 60s. The roof will be closed with the cool temps.

The latest drought monitor released last week shows abnormally dry conditions (shown in yellow) in place for most of the state. Parts of northwest Wisconsin and near Janesville along the WI/IL border are under moderate drought conditions. We've had some rain chances over the last few weeks but nothing persistent.

This week has a good opportunity to improve some of the drought conditions. Almost every day has some sort of a rain chance. The chance Monday is best in the morning but could linger into the early afternoon. Then the next chance for rain will be Tuesday afternoon, and especially Tuesday late evening, through Wednesday morning.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday all have more chances for rain. Download the CBS 58 Weather app to track the showers with the interactive radar.
