One Day of Storm Chances & Then A Dry Stretch through The Holiday Weekend

Tuesday is the best opportunity in the next week to get a drink from Mother Nature as a cold front works in from the Upper Midwest.  The best timing looks to be the second part of the day.  We also have a marginal risk of severe weather with wind, hail, and heavy rain being some of the biggest factors. Rainfall amounts could be measured up to a half an inch at the very least if you get caught under one of these storms.

Once the cold front passes, look for nicer weather to set up shop across the area through much of Labor Day itself. Both temperatures and humidity will be quite tolerable with highs in the 70s and lows in the cool 50s.

If you haven't done so, feel free to download the free CBS58 weather app before the storms flare up on Tuesday. It's a great tool for getting alerts and keeping track of lightning.
