NYPD Officer Attacked With Meat Cleaver

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — An NYPD officer was attacked with a meat cleaver in Midtown on Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened shortly before 5 p.m. on 32nd Street and Seventh Avenue.
The suspect was immediately shot after the attack.
The officer was taken to a local hospital. There is no word on the condition of the suspect.
