GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Some of the newest members of the Green Bay Packers will experience Lambeau Field for the first time during Friday's Family Night practice.
GM Brian Gutekunst says the game-like atmosphere helps the team prepare for the regular season.
"I think with our young players on Family Night it's the first time they're in Lambeau Field under the lights in that kind of environment," Gutekunst said. "It is a practice, yet the adrenaline and intensity is ratcheted up, and just kind of seeing how they handle that moment I think is important for us."
Gates to Lambeau Field open at 5:30 p.m.
Family Night practice starts at 7:30 p.m. with a fireworks show set to to music following.
