WEST MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A family is calling for justice after a deadly hit-and-run in West Milwaukee. Annette Pintor's son and daughter-in-law tied balloons and flowers on the intersection where she was hit. Now, they want the community's help finding the driver that killed her.

"My family deserves justice and that's what we actually need for my mother," said Pintor's son.

Pinter was hit on Sunday, Aug. 31, near 35th and Greenfield.

"I really didn't know what to expect; first I found out she was OK, she's breathing," said Pintor's son.

According to Milwaukee police, she was hit by a 2008 GMC pickup truck with the Iowa plate PZP172.

Surveillance video shows the driver, in a white shirt, getting out of his car for four minutes before driving off.

"Next thing I know, I find out that she has passed away not even an hour later," said Pintor's son.

Her son, who didn't want to go on camera, smiled as he remembered the one who raised him.

"My mom is the most loving grandma, sister, mother, everything you could expect. That will never change, even though she's not here with us," said Pintor's son.

He can't comprehend how the driver could abandon her.

"That's the thing that irks me, that, that ticks me off a little bit. He didn't do anything about it. He didn't stay. Any human being would have stayed. I get that his life is in jeopardy, and you know, his being free is in jeopardy, but we lost a life -- lost a human," said Pintor's son.

Now he's calling on the community to find the person that did this.

"Help us turning this guy in so we can get justice and a piece of mind that he's not on the streets anymore," said Pintor's son.

Pintor's friend, who also didn't want to go on camera, told CBS 58 she would light up every room and was loved by everyone that knew her.

Anyone who may have information on this hit-and-run crash is urged to contact the Milwaukee Police Department at 414-935-7360.
