Double shooting near 20th and Lawrence in Milwaukee leaves 2 critically injured, 4 in custody
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 25-year-old and an 18-year-old are facing life-threatening injuries after being shot near 20th and Lawrence, according to Milwaukee police, in what they believe was a robbery attempt.
The shooting reportedly unfolded Sunday, Oct. 22 at around 4 p.m. when a group of individuals exchanged gunfire with the 25-year-old. In the course of the shooting, the aforementioned 18-year-old also was struck by a bullet.
Both injured parties were transported to a local hospital for treatment and subsequently taken into custody. Two other 18-year-olds were also taken into custody.
Milwaukee police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Charges for all involved are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
