Milwaukee WAVE CEO sued, owes thousands.

Trouble could be on the horizon for the Milwaukee WAVE team. The owner and CEO, Susan Black is now facing a lawsuit alleging she owes a couple hundred thousand dollars to a promotions company.

Thomas B. Phillips, owner of A&J Promotions, says he loaned $200,000 to Black in March of 2013, a month after she took over the team. He alleges in the lawsuit that the money was supposed to help fund the business.

The trouble continues, according to the lawsuit, when Black needed another $10,000 just to afford payroll. Phillips also claims the team owes his company another $42,000 for promotional merchandise.

Black was to pay

Court documents show Black did pay at least $100,00 to Phillips in August of last year, but did not keep up with her quarterly payment arrangements. Phillips now wants all the money back, plus interest.

Black would not comment directly about the lawsuit, but told CBS 58 in a statement, \"I'm only focused on the MISL Playoffs beginning March 10th 7pm at the US Cellular Arena and I want to bring a Wave Championship to Wisconsin. Come support your Milwaukee Wave, she said.\"
