Milwaukee police officer facing charges after breaking photographer's camera during summer protest

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police Officer Matthew Willmann is now charged for throwing a punch during a protest on Old World Third Street last summer.

The punch broke a photographer's camera.

Willmann faces misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct. 

He's already been suspended without pay for 45 days for violating the police department's code of conduct.

His first court hearing on the charges is scheduled for next week.
