MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - More than a hundred people took the Oath of Allegiance and because U.S. citizens in Milwaukee Thursday, March 5.
The naturalization ceremony took place at the Milwaukee Area Technical College's downtown campus.
The group presented about 30 countries from around the world.
One man from Nigeria said that even though he's now done with the process, there's still a lot of work to be done as a U.S. citizen.
"We need to advocate for the right things, we need to stand up, we need to, you know, do a lot of things that will make America a great place or continue to make it great...at least the things we can contribute," said Oluwaseun Atoyebi, U.S. citizen.
When asked what the first thing he was going to do with his new citizenship, he jokingly said he was going to run for office.
