MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Dr. Seyedmisagh Imani of Marquette University School of Dentistry joined us on Thursday, Oct. 17 to discuss how artificial intelligence is being used to predict tooth loss, an important factor in monitoring oral health.
Imani detailed the potential of AI to evaluate key risk factors like age, income, smoking habits and dental visit frequency. He noted that AI models could help identify individuals at a higher risk of tooth loss before they see a dentist.
This technology may aid healthcare providers in emphasizing preventive care, particularly for those with limited access to dental services.
