Man Wounded in Thursday Shooting

A 21-year-old man is in a Milwaukee hospital with what is described as serious gunshot wounds following a shooting Thursday night in Milwaukee.  According to the Milwaukee Police, the man was shot around 9:45 PM while he was standing on the sidewalk near N 48th and W Clarke Streets.  According to the Police account of the incident, the man was approached by several subjects when one of the subjects pulled a gun and fired several rounds, striking the victim.  The subjects then got into a car and fled southbound from the scene.  The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated for his wounds.   The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident.
