Showery, windy weather to get us into the third week of October
WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kettle Moraine School District does not plan to renew a contract for its school resource officers.
It comes after voters turned down a $5.9 million referendum earlier this month.
The contract was with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department.
They provided schools with an armed deputy.
The school district says the county wanted a multi-year contract with rising costs each year.
They do plan to explore other options.
