Snow covers roads as Milwaukee’s DPW crews battle high winds
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A hawk is back flying above southeast Wisconsin after it was nearly electrocuted in Washington County.
Video from We Energies shows the hawk struggling to get free after becoming entangled in a power line.
We Energies crews turned off the line and got help from a wildlife official to free the bird's stuck talon.
The hawk had to get a few stitches on her leg and was taken to Wanakia Wildlife in Richfield.
After eight weeks of recovery, the hawk was released into the wild at the end of June.
