Grammy winner Lorde to perform at BMO Harris Pavilion

MILWAUKEE -- Two local groups that stage concerts in Milwaukee are teaming up to bring a Grammy-award winning singer to the Summerfest grounds.

Pop sensation Lorde is bringing her hits and unique personality to Milwaukee as a part of her North American tour.

The show is Friday, September 26 at  7 p.m.

The 17-year-old soared to the top of the charts with her hit single, \"Royals.\"

Lorde will take the stage at the BMO Harris Pavilion, which has 5,000 seats and room for 5,000 more fans to stand.

The facility was built three years ago and has hosted a few shows.

But Summerfest officials said they'd like to do 10 shows a summer, and having Lorde is a great start.

\"It takes time to build a venue up and to get used to it,\" said Bob Babisch. \"We have a short window, summers are not that long in Wisconsin so we want people to use our venue as much as possible.\"

Tickets for Lorde go on sale Friday, June 6 at 10 a.m.
