Gilles custard stand turning 80-years-old

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One of Milwaukee's custard stands is turning 80-years-old. Gilles Frozen Custard claims to be the oldest custard stand in Milwaukee and will celebrate the anniversary on Saturday, June 23.

The restaurant will be hosting an event from 1 to 4 p.m. at the 7515 W. Bluemound Road location with food and drink, a dunk tank, music, balloons and other festivities along with custard.

Customers will be able to donate to four area charities with any purchase. The featured charities are Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, Mr. Bob's Under the Bridge, Boys and Girls Clubs and The Love > hate project.
