MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A community conversation at Gee's Clippers in Milwaukee with men of color on the daily issues they face.
The Milwaukee Fatherhood Initiative and Wisconsin Community Services helped create these barbershop-style conversations.
Men in the community are able to get resources for mental health, child support, fatherhood and other serious issues.
"The barbershop is where you can talk about your problems, your issues, almost like a therapy session among the men," said Natasha Upshaw, program director for Milwaukee Fatherhood Initiative. "So, we wanted to recreate that inside of the barbershop."
Organizers say they have been hosting this event for seven years and every year it continues to grow.
