Four men arrested, charged in human trafficking probe tied to Franklin Strip Club
Milwaukee County Sheriff\'s Office MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Four men have been arrested and charged in connection to a five-year FBI human trafficking probe centered around the "On the Border Gentleman's Club" in Franklin.
According to a criminal complaint, Jimmy Durant, Brian Hopkins, Dantavia Rule, and Maurice Russell are all facing charges including Human Trafficking, Strangulation & Suffocation, false imprisonment, intimidation of a victim, and keeping place of prostitution.
The investigation began after a former employee informed law enforcement back in February of 2020 that employers were benefitting from commercial sexual acts in the club.
According to the complaint, Jimmy Durant, referred to as "Fly", is accused of trafficking multiple women, including listing them on a website used for commercial sex advertisements, as well as intimidating them for their money.
Dantavia Rule and Maurice Russell are also accused of helping recruit the victims, while Brian Hopkins served as one of the head managers at 'On the Border'.
The complaint says the victims were forced to do a lot of commercial sex acts in the club, with a lot of them occurring at the VIP lounge.
One of the victims in the complaint said that the bouncers that worked in the VIP section would
"Turn down the lights when a commercial sex act occurred in the VIP lounge and would know that a sex act occurred."
And that they would keep the lights low so it would not be visible on the security cameras.
The victim went on to say "Fly" physically beat her, strangled her, and dragged her at the group's leased Milwaukee residence.
Another victim stated that she was required to give Rule the money she made from commercial sex acts," and that "She was not allowed to keep money for basic necessities like food."
The complaint says manager Brian Hopkins nor "On the Border" prevented or stopped the commercial sex acts from occurring within the business.
And goes on to say that based on social media messages Hopkins knew about these acts were occurring.
CBS 58 has reached out to the "On The Border Gentlemen's Club" for comment on the case.
