Fat's brings munchies, burgers and comfort food to West Allis with first Wisconsin location

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Whether you're looking for some comfort food during these colder months or you want a fun atmosphere to watch the Super Bowl, Fat's in West Allis has a lot of food and TVs. Fat's is originally from West Virginia, and this is the first Wisconsin location for the franchise. 

Since opening in August, they're already impressing people with their trash can nachos and burger challenge. 

"We have chicken nachos. They come out in a trash can and then we take them out of the can for you at the table," said Lisa McIntyre, one of the managers.

As for the burger, she says Wisconsinites are up for the challenge.

"We thought, when it started out, that people would really struggle to eat it. But now people are almost challenging us telling us 'you should have a time limit on it' but plenty of people finish it," she said. 

Fat's is opened daily at 11 a.m. Starting today, Tuesday, Jan. 20, they're offering happy hour with food and drink specials. 

"It's going to be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and we will have half off our Munchie section of the menu," said McIntyre. 

They're located at 2865 S. 108th St. in West Allis.
