Fatal semi vs pedestrian accident in Beaver Dam

DODGE COUNTY, WI -

A 19-year-old man was killed Monday night when he was struck by a passing semi-trailer truck as he was walking along US 151 in Beaver Dam.   The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is withholding the name of the victim pending the notification of next of kin.

The accident happened around 9:30 PM.  According to the Sheriff’s Office, the man was walking in the left traffic lane of north bound US 151 near State Highway 33 when he was struck by a north bound semi-trailer truck driven by a 46-year-old unidentified man.  The Dodge County Medical Examiner pronounced the victim dead at the scene of the accident.  No other vehicles were involved and there were no other injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
