Dove Recalls Thousands of Chocolates
(KYW) Thousands of Dove’s seasonal chocolates are being recalled across the country after a customer found a piece of Snickers candy in an assortment bag.
Mars Chocolate North America issued the voluntary recall of its Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes, 24 oz. bag on Friday, warning that some may have pieces of Snickers, Milky Way and Twix candy that contain peanuts, wheat and/or eggs. The ingredients are not listed on the outer package label and people who have allergies to such foods are at risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.
The recall affects approximately 6,700 cases of the chocolates sold at one unnamed major retailer with stores across the United States, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
The affected chocolates were sold from September 19, 2015 through December 1, 2015.
