Cudahy man arrested after kicking officer in stomach while getting blood draw for OWI

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Tuesday afternoon around 4:15 St. Francis Police responded to Lakeshore Medical Complex on Layton Avenue for a man and woman fighting.

When officers arrived they learned that a 36-year-old Cudahy man was pulling into the parking lot and hit a curb. The man and his girlfriend started fighting about him hitting the curb.

Officers determined that the man was on drugs, but he refused a field sobriety test. The man was arrested for his third OWI, but refused to provide a blood sample.

Officers got a search warrant for the blood sample and while at the hospital the man kicked an officer in the stomach.

After a blood draw the man was taken to the Milwaukee County Jail for numerous charges including battery to an officer.
