Woman charged in deadly shooting of Concordia University student
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Family and friends of Marcus Smith gathered Tuesday night, Oct. 21, to honor his life.
Smith was one of the victims of a violent 48-hour stretch that left five people dead and three others hurt after a string of shootings over the weekend.
Police say Smith was standing near 27th and Atkinson with 50-year-old Sandra Lee on Sunday night when they were both shot and killed.
Family who turned up in the rain Tuesday night described him as a loving father who leaves behind an entire family that will never forget him.
"A family guy. Very joyful, always smiling. He was loved by many. He leaves behind his kids, his grandkids. He'll be missed, tremendously missed."
A 26-year-old was arrested in connection to Smith's death, but formal charges have not yet been filed.
