MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A week before many schools across southeast Wisconsin tip off, the Milwaukee Bucks are helping students make sure this year is a slam dunk.
For the fourth year in a row, the Bucks and Fiserv teamed up to host a back-to-school drive at the Pieper-Hillside Boys & Girls Club.
Kids lined up and received a Bucks' themed backpack filled with school essentials and even got to work on their jump shot.
Bucks Executive Arnvid Gopalratnam commented on how the drive continues to help the community.
"We can do this year after year to get our schools ready for the upcoming schoolyear so it is a fun way for us to pull our resources together and recognize the more work we can do together the more work we can do for the betterment of the community," said Gopalratnam.
In the program's four years of existence, the Bucks and Fiserv have helped over 1,200 kids get ready for class.
