Fans encouraged to get hyped ahead of Brewers first playoff game
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Bucks fan from Mequon went viral Monday after a feat only a Wisconsinite could complete.
Jamie Kiesl rattled off 27 different kinds of cheese in 30 seconds during an in-game contest at Fiserv Forum this weekend.
From Brie and feta to Muenster and Colby Jack, Kiesl impressed with her coolness under pressure.
She says she initially declined the offer to play, but her husband convinced her to do it.
Then, with her three-year-old daughter in her arms and a Cheesehead on her head, Kiesl embarked on a 30 seconds that would morph into her 15 minutes.
We asked her how she was able to name so many cheeses.
“I don’t know. Honestly, it was kind of a surreal moment,” Kiesl said. “I just started going. Trying to remember the salad bar, what goes on a sandwich.”
She says she had two minutes to prepare herself.
“I talked to somebody today that I work with and she said this is going to be the cocktail hour thing you have until you die so ride it out,” Kiesl said.
Kiesl was featured on the Bucks Twitter account, ESPN, Sports Illustrated and several other outlets.
For winning the contest, she took home a basketball autographed by Bucks player Sterling Brown. It was his mark of 17 cheeses in 30 seconds that she surpassed.
