MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Demand for Brewers World Series merchandise has been so strong that the team is temporarily closing its stores at American Family Field to restock.

The Milwaukee Brewers announced Wednesday that both Brewers Team Stores at the ballpark will be closed Thursday, Oct. 22, to give staff time to replenish inventory and merchandise selections.

The stores, located at the Left Field Gate and Home Plate Gate, will also remain closed Friday morning as previously scheduled.

They will reopen to ticketed fans when gates open Friday, Oct. 23, for Game 1 of the World Series at American Family Field.

Fans have flocked to Brewers merchandise locations since Milwaukee clinched the National League pennant and advanced to the World Series for the first time since 1982.
