Birch and Banyan Coffee in Hartland talks spring drinks and events
CBS 58 HARTLAND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Birch and Banyan Coffee has become a staple in Hartland over the last nine years. Now, when you stop in any weekday morning, you're sure to see familiar community faces.
Jessie Puzach is the owner of Birch and Banyan. She always envisioned it being a community hub and a place for connection in the area.
This March, Birch and Banyan is celebrating with a seasonal latte called the grasshopper, made with mocha and mint; it leans into St. Patrick's Day fun.
For the last year, they've also been roasting their own coffee beans. That allows them to make a brew for a cause. This month's brew is in honor of International Women's Month.
"This gives us the ability to do some fun, different things. So, we have this [Brew for a Cause] one that we give every month to a different nonprofit. 100 percent of the profits go there. This one is the women's center over in Waukesha," said Puzach.
This May, look out for Birch and Banyan's third annual Wellness and Mental Health Fair. Capitol Drive outside of Birch and Banyan in Hartland will be blocked off and there will be more than 70 resources available for people to better understand and support their mental health.
